Silverberg Associates, Inc.

Paul Silverberg is President of Silverberg Associates, Inc., Silverberg Associates VI PC, and President of the WSA Alliance, a consortium of architectural and engineering firms. Under his leadership, these firms continue to meet the challenge of implementing cutting edge, sustainable, and technically challenging architectural projects for its clients.

Early on, the practice demonstrated a skill for solving particularly complex architectural problems, as usually found and demanded within technologically intense projects. That thread of this work has evolved through the present, and is reflected in the firm’s current work on telecommunication, laboratory, operations center, clean room, datacenter, and other types of technically sensitive projects.

The firm’s project highlights include Verizon’s 911 Network Operations Center, Verizon’s Executive Briefing Center, Verizon Wireless’ Network Operation Control Center, and its Mobile Device R&D Laboratories. Datacenter projects have included modifications for Chubb Insurance, and the State of NJ Department of Justice. University-based work has included projects for Princeton University, The College of NJ, Rider University, and Rutgers University.

Silverberg Associates VI, P.C.

The firm has had project work in the Virgin Islands since 1990, and formalized that experience with the opening of its associated office, Silverberg Associates VI P.C., in Christiansted, St. Croix, in 2003.   Its basis of Virgin Island architectural work has been commercial, academic, hospitality, retail, medical, corporate, warehouse, scientific, industrial, telecommunication, residential, and historic preservation, both new construction and renovation of existing facilities.

Among its many Virgin Island projects, the firm notably provided the architectural services for Diageo’s St. Croix-based Captain Morgan Barrel Warehouse site and Distillery site. The Diageo Barrel Warehouse project was the first USGBC LEED certified project (LEED Silver) of any kind in the U.S. Virgin Islands.   Other commercial projects have included new facilities with associated major sitework for Metro Motors and Centerline Car Rental. Hospitality projects have included the Margaritaville Restaurant on St. Thomas, and a nearby hillside pool complex for Wyndham Resorts. The firm has also completed projects that pay respect to local history and context. This has included work for the University of the Virgin Islands in Frederiksted, Balter Restaurant on St. Croix, and other renovations in Christiansted’s Historic District.

Paul Silverberg, President, AIA, LEED AP

Paul received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture from the University of Michigan, graduating in 1979 with High Distinction. After working for smaller local New Jersey-based firms, Paul worked as a Project Architect for the successor firm to Marcel Breuer’s practice in New York City, garnering experience working on large and complex projects, particularly within New York City’s unforgiving urban environment.   Receiving his architectural license in 1983, he founded Silverberg Associates in 1986 as a general architectural practice based in Princeton, NJ. Paul is a licensed architect in 11 states, plus the U.S. Virgin Islands, is NCARB certified, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

“Architecture, and being an Architect, is my passion. I have known this was to be my life’s path from a young age. I find that bringing a concept to successful real-world fruition and working as part of a team to successfully solve the challenges along the way can be a deeply satisfying, and shared, experience.”
